About Therapy

The therapeutic process is designed to address client issues and help clients form stronger, healthier relationships. However, the therapeutic process can often be traumatic as well as therapeutic, especially in the beginning. Addressing issues can mean digging deeply into experiences from the past and bringing up painful memories. Because of this, clients often feel worse before they feel better. Before you start therapy, please think carefully about whether you are willing to do the work necessary to meet your goals.

To help you meet those goals, I use Solution-Focused therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) in conjunction with Prepare-Enrich, genograms, assessments, and interventions from Systemic Theory, all of which are established, proven theories and techniques.
